| Rag Rolling is a painting technique that gives a rich, textural look with an allover mottled effect. This photo displays a ragging-on technique: a rag is saturated in the prepared paint glaze, wrung out, rolled up, and then rolled across a surface that has been base-coated with low-luster latex enamel paint. A single application of glaze provides a bold pattern (shown in this photo). For a more subtle blended look, two or more applications of glaze are ragged-on. |
